It’s been so hot y’all and not a normal feeling of hot. The normal feeling I mean is that my body can adjust to the coming increase in temperature, but this Sun has been SUNNING. It’s unbelievable and as usual my brain went straight to “whelp, this is what Vices feels like”. (Here he go with philosophy again…) <–First off, you brought this on yourself by looking and B). I mean… This is kinda my thing. I would’ve called it “sin” but the religious connotation usually takes an awful turn. There are things we KNOW to be wrong and things we BELIEVE to be wrong; being who you are without harming others or yourself obviously is an act of love, greed is not. I believe everyone can agree unless they’re just blocked by their ego or envious they weren’t given the world that currently exists.
Anyway, why is the heat feeling like a Vice? Well, the planet is screwed up isn’t it? There has been more than enough information over the years: extinctions, fires, harsher seasonal disasters and no real changes made. Inflation and a lack of livable wage increase to the working class with no real interest in giving what we collectively are owed simply out of spite for a political affiliation (it’s obviously more than that, but let’s keep it simple for now) and just the old hat of racism. Just plain ol’ goofy hate, hate just because… There’s no real reason for it. Since we are of the same species yet operate as if we are not, the majority of us are being punished while the ones creating the issue are as comfortable as the Pale Man in Pan’s Labyrinth. I’m not going to say it is unfair, unfair can be corrected… This is unjust. And because so many people think in their limited experience and not looking towards a possibility of what could be for themselves (which fills me with anguish) they are concerned about the threat of today and not the consequences of tomorrow. We are poor y’all, no amount of flash will change what the soul shows. I worry that it may be too late for change in my lifetime, but there is enough fight in me to ease the burden of the coming generations.
So what is the fight? The fight is first with yourself: to know that if you are affording yourself the chance to make mistakes and be human, give that grace to others. It’s exhausting and tiring, and we all have our limits and it is important, VITAL even to speak when you are at your limit. You can’t be given what you do not give. The second is in community: connect with others who want to walk with you. They don’t have to be like you or be every bit you want them to be (we all know someone we love with a ‘But’), but they do need to have shown that they are understanding and down for the cause. No one walks alone or at least no one should, we all built walls at some point that need to break because I have to tell you, the future feels very fuckin grim. There is a lot more “force” forming against our existence than there is force allowing us to BE. I assure you this is all weather related 🤣🤣😭. I just don’t want to start worrying about a water supply next.
