The dust has settled and the sour taste of yesterday is out my mouth in large part to the people who posted about the moments worth celebrating we lost focus on for obvious reasons. So I’d like to just put those up here to remind others as well that even though something unfortunate and unexpected clouded our vision, there are still a few great things that trump that noise that deserves our attention and celebration:
Questlove won best documentary Oscar for “Summer of Soul”. If you haven’t seen it, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s like watching a discovery of joy.
I only posted 3 things to celebrate, but I’m sure there are more. Oscar’s aren’t really my thing I should add. It feels like a subsection of elitist spectacle for the serfs to admire and feel like the extravagance is something to be desired. Not trying to wreck these moments, it’s just important for me to say.
