Just Realized Something!

So whenever I usually meditated it was to untangle a bunch of threads in my head so my thinking was all over the place. When I would sit or lay down I was so busy managing emotions instead of feeling better. Emotions like depression or anxiousness or whatever… The negative parts. Basically I was always thinking on the defensive: blocking the bad thoughts or distracting myself with complex questions as a sign of feeling better. But you know what I never did? Meditate when I’m just feeling good or feeling okay. Just sitting in the moment where you feel happy and telling yourself “I don’t have to do anything right now because I am happy with not doing anything right now”.

I’ve trained my thoughts for so long to seek out and remove the bad that I never trained it to stop, understand and enjoy the good. So when you feel good, just stop for a moment and talk to yourself about why you feel good and remind yourself to be in it and it’s okay to be in it.
